Australian Skin Cancer Rates Increasing

The Cancer Council has recently advised that the rate of skin cancer in Australia is increasing, along with the number of skin cancer related deaths. What is also very concerning is that payments for skin cancer compensation claims by workers has doubled in less than a decade.

More than 1,300 workers have claimed for sun-related injury or disease between 2000 and 2009, which has so far cost Australian employers $38.4 million. Read more…
