Queenslanders Still Burning

Queensland men aged 18-24 are the number one age group for ignoring the sun safety message. A joint study between the Queensland Institute of Medical Research and Queensland Health discovered that this age group were up to seven times more likely to have been sunburnt on any weekend in comparison to other demographics.

The study looked at over 16,000 Queenslanders aged 18+ and determined how often they suffered from sunburn. As skin cancer is not an instant disease, there are fears that the long latency period is causing many people to not take sunburn as seriously as they should. Read More Here
